About Haverford

The unincorporated community of Haverford is an upscale suburb located on Philadelphia’s historic Main Line. Located roughly 10 miles from Philadelphia, Haverford is perhaps best known for the highly rated liberal arts college of the same name and has one of the oldest country clubs located in the United States, the Merion Cricket Club. Haverford has one of the highest home median sales prices and one of highest median income on the Main Line, trailing only Gladwyne and Villanova.

Haverford Real Estate

With large estates and beautiful old stone colonials and blue ribbon schools, Haverford is a wonderful place to live. Unlike other parts of the country, Haverford and the rest of the Main Line continue to maintain high property values and sales prices.

Haverford is located primarily in Lower Merion Township of Montgomery County but also spills partially into Haverford Township in Delaware County. Haverford Township is mostly distinct from the Main Line community of Haverford and the two can easily be confused to those unfamiliar with the area.

Haverford derived its name from a town in Wales, UK called Havorfordwest. It is served by the 100 High Speed Line and the R5 rail system. For more information regarding Haverford real estate, feel free to contact us today.
